Yellow Mucus After Recovering from Pneumonia? - which is worse bacterial or viral pneumonia
He developed bacterial pneumonia (right lobe with a partially collapsed lung) in mid-November, shortly after coming down with what was probably H1N1 (which is not confirmed in the laboratory). Zithromax Tome complete package, and it seemed clear, but I did not linger cough, knows a lot of mucus (and yellow) output and fatigue. Over the past two weeks, I cough more and more yellow in the night, breathless with a deep cough and sore. I went to the doctor (PA) and gave me Avelox, I did not because I dislike the idea of officially diagnosed with a bacterial infection, and they said I could expect when I thought it was getting worse. By early December, my x-ray was clear, but seems to be improving. I know the answer: "Go back to the doctor," but I have seen many doctors, and we know these people do not really handle like that.
Should I Avelox (despite the horror stories about what I've read), or paste it in If Only viral? I'm worried abthis progress, and I am here, of course, not because they seek medical help. I can not trust the people I see.
Note: I have my vaccines, both seasonal and H1N1 infection received. I have no fever, joint pain when I and a blue dye from time to time my fingers. I am healthy 23 years old.
Thank you.
